4 cooking apples
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cream
1 cup grated cheese
1/4 cup mincemeat
2 tbsp. brown sugar
butter or margarine
Pare apples, core.
1/8" thick and lightly floured into square.
Sprinkle with cheese
Place apple in center of each square, filled
with mincement.
Sprinkle with sugar, dot with butter or margarine.
Fold two opposite cornets of pastry over apples;
tie remaining corners bandana-fashion on top
of apples.
Place greased wax paper under pastry "ears".
Combine brown sugar and cream; brush on pastry,
except "ears".
Bake in hot oven (400 F). for 55 minutes, brush "ears"
with cream mixture; bake for 5 minutes.
