1/2 lb. lean steak, thinly sliced and shredded
1 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp[. vegetable oil
1 large onion, cut in fine shreds
1 medium green pepper, cut in fine shreds
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups hot steamed rice
Garnish:
green onion shreds
extra toasted almonds
Combine steak, soy sauce and cornstarch.
Heat oil in a wok and add steak mixture.
Stir-fry 2 minutes.
Add onion, green pepper and salt.
Stir fry 1 minute.
Add ricea nd almonds, stir frying to blend ingredients.
This can be done off the heat
Place mixture into an oiled ring mold.
Press down firmly.
Turn out onto round serving plate. garnish serve.
