INIHAW NA MANOK

         1/2 cup packed brown sugar
         2 tbsp. sweet sake, mirin or dry sherry
         1/2 cup soy sauce
         1 tbsp. grated onion
         1 clove garlic minced
         4 whole large chicken breast, split skinned
            and deboned nonstick vegetables spray 
            coating or coking oil.
      In saucepan stir together brown sugar, soy sauce,

    sake onion and garlic.
      Cook and stir over low heat till sugar dissolves.
      Cook uncovered till the consistency, of thin syrup
             about five minutes more cool.
      Place chicken in shallow baking dish.
      Pour soy sauce mixture over chicken.
      Cover refrigerate for to six hours or overnight, 
              occasionally spooning marinate over chicken.
     Remove chicken reserve marinate.
      Coat grill non-stick spray coating oil.
      Grill chicken over med coals for 15 to 20 
             minutes reserved marinade.
