PANOCHA

              2 cup brown sugar
              1/2 cup corn syrup
              1 cup walnuts
              1 cup water
              1 tbsp. butter
      Cook all ingredients excepts nuts, to soft ball stage at 238 degrees F.
      Remove from fire.
      Cool

Beat until creamy.
      Add nuts.
      Pour into buttered tins.
      Cut into squares.
