SWEETENED BANANA CHIPS

                      Firm, good-quality, almost-ripe cooking banana (saba)
                      Cooking oil
                      Syrup (1 cup sugar boiled in 1 cup water)
                                 MATERIALS
                          Deep frying pan
                          Strainer that fits in frying pan
                          Airtight containers
            Peel bananas and soak in water to remove milkish taste.
            Drain water and slice bananas into desired sized.      

Soak banana slices in cooking oil.
            Place bananas in strainer that fits in deep frying pan.
            Fry banana slices till golden brown.
            Lift strainer to drain oil.
            Soak banana slice in sugar syrup for 5 minutes.
            Store in containers.
