SOTANGHON GUISADO

           1 kilo sotanghon
           10 gms. small mushroom diced
           1 kilo carrots, diced
           1 kilo spring onions
           1 clove garlic, crushed
           3/4 chicken broth
           1/2 cup toasted garlic
           2 kilo fresh chicken deboned 
              and cut into pieces
           1 kilo turnips, diced
           2 pcs. onion, diced
           1 cup cooking oil
              patis and pepper to taste
      Soak sotanghon and mushroom separately in water; set aside.     

Heat oil and saute in garlic onions until brown.
      Add chicken cubes, season with patis and pepper.
      Add stock, carrots and turnips and simmer till partially, cooked.
      Add sotanghon and mushroom.
      Cook till done.
      Add vetsin and adjust seasonings.
      Arrange in a platter and top with toasted garlic and spring onions.
